Nutrition plans built the same way as training plans
If you write nutrition guidance for the people you coach, it should live where the training plan lives. Two plans in two places is how one of them gets ignored.
Get the app
The instruction that arrives separately gets lost
A meal plan sent as a file, with the caveats sent as a message an hour later, is a plan your client will follow halfway.
- Meals arranged into a planThe structure is visible rather than being a list the client has to organise themselves.
- Notes attached to the planSubstitutions, timing, and anything conditional travel with the plan instead of in a message beside it.
- It sits next to the trainingThe same client, the same app, the same place to look. Nothing to cross-reference.
The three things you do to a nutrition plan
The same stages as a training plan, because it is the same kind of object.
Build
- Arrange the mealsLay the plan out so the shape of a day is obvious at a glance.
- Write the instructionsThe conditions, substitutions, and anything that needs saying once and remembering later.
- Keep it reusableA plan written properly serves the next client with a similar goal.
Assign
- Link it to the clientIt reaches them the same way a workout plan does.
- Run it alongside the trainingA client can hold a nutrition plan and a training plan at the same time.
- Assign only where it appliesNot every client you coach needs one, and nothing forces you to write one.
Adjust
- Change it when the goal changesA plan written for a build is the wrong plan six weeks into a cut.
- Update the notes with itThe instruction changes in the same place the plan does, so the two never disagree.
- Keep it with the clientThe history stays under their name rather than in a thread.
This site gives no personal dietary advice and publishes no fixed macro splits. What appears here explains the app's tools and nothing more. What you prescribe to your clients is your professional judgement, not ours.
There is no verified screenshot of the nutrition interface in our asset set, so illustrative images are used rather than claiming to show a real screen.
Nutrition guidance is a coaching decision, not a feature
The app holds the plan and delivers it. What goes in the plan, and whether it is appropriate for a given client, stays with you and your qualifications.

Questions about nutrition plans
Do I have to use the nutrition side at all?
No. Plenty of coaches only ever assign training plans, and nothing in the app pushes you to write nutrition guidance you are not qualified to give.
Can a client have a nutrition plan and a training plan together?
Yes. They run alongside each other under the same client profile.
Does the app calculate calories or macros for me?
We do not publish claims about calculation features that have not been approved for release. Ask us what the current build does before you plan around it.
Does IronFit give my clients dietary advice?
No. The app carries what you wrote. It does not add recommendations of its own, and this site does not publish dietary advice.
Put the nutrition plan where the training plan is
Building and assigning nutrition plans both happen inside the app.
